WERRRK.com welcomes “Into The Draglands” back for a second season
August 30th, 2021 (New York, NY) – WERRRK.com announced today that they will be hosting the second season of the drag competition series, “Into The Draglands” on their YouTube channel, WERRRK.TV, this month. The series is the brainchild of California drag artist Hellen Heels and will look to push the boundaries of previous online drag competitions in order to help the performers grow beyond what they thought they were capable of.
WERRRK’s YouTube channel, which launched in conjunction with the site in 2014 currently features the popular interview series “Backstage ‘Berry” starring Strawberry Fields, the Glam Award-nominated Wigging Out podcast featuring Martyr and C.Tepper, the Easily Baked video series starring Pussy Willow and Sherry Poppins, as well as WERRRK.com’s live coverage of events such as RuPaul’s DragCon, the Austin International Drag Festival and other LGBTQ+ events in New York City and Los Angeles.

We again challenge our contestants to bring amazing performances for all new categories and as always make sure they stick to the criteria. This year we added Live judging so the contestants could grow in the experience, however the eliminations are still reserved for LIVE viewing so that everyone finds out at the same time!” added Hellen Heels.

The series will stream live on the WERRRK.com channel at 7pm PT/ 10pm ET starting on September 1st and will be available for viewing on demand shortly after the stream end.

ABOUT INTO THE DRAGLANDS: Into the Draglands is an online drag competition put on by performers of California’s Central Valley. It is the brainchild of Hellen Heels, a popular drag queen know for hosting in Stockton and Sacramento, and performing throughout the Bay Area. The basis of the competition is to showcase these performers by assigning them different challenges every week that push them out of their comfort zones in order to challenge them to show off the full range of their talent. They were required to select their own music, do their own costuming and hair, and to perform as if the world were watching. Some performers consistently ride high, while others crack under the pressure. The performances have been judged post-production so there is the added twist of performers having no idea what the critiques are, if they win a challenge, or even when they are eliminated until they watch live!
