The queens returned to the workroom following the elimination of Mih’ya Iman Le’Paige, however, mourning her absence was short-lived. Sapphira Cristal celebrated her third win, but Q thought the win belonged to her or Plane Jane. Dawn pointed out that she had noticed Q had a tough time accepting losses.
Don’t worry, when it was a new day in the workroom, Q continued by telling Sapphira that she didn’t think her win was deserved. Oh, and Nymphia Wind asked who each queen would swap out in the current competition with an eliminated one, and Dawn said she would send Plane home for Amanda Tori Meating, which was perfect, given the circumstances.
RuPaul entered the workroom before things got too heated between the queens. She lightened the mood by talking about the beloved Tammy Faye Messner, and inspired by her “I ran into Tammy Faye at the mall” shirt, the queens had to make their own shirts with wildly painted faces with the help of Norvina. While all of the shirts were beautiful, Plane won!
For the maxi-challenge, the queens would be working in pairs and designing a gender-inclusive bathroom for picky clients in the new show Design Hunties. Plane and Sapphira, Nymphia, and Dawn, Q and Morphine Dion Love were paired by Ru herself. They began to brainstorm their design ideas, and Nymphia had to be reeled in a bit. She was really excited about what noise the toilet would make. Could you blame her? It is important.
The queens had to go into their bathrooms and do manual labor. They were moving items, painting, the whole thing. Plane was firmly against Plane, and Nymphia and Sapphira laughed about her white privilege. Morphine and Q were ambitious and decided to paint flames all over their walls. Q nailed it, Morphine did not. Meanwhile, Sapphira and Plane’s was described as a historical period piece set.
It was time to get in drag and some of the queens were struggling with their confidence. Plane was worried and lacking her delusional confidence, while Nymphia had similar doubts about her and Dawn. Since it was a bathroom challenge, Morphine lightened the room by asking if anyone had had an accident as an adult. Turns out, she nearly did at a brunch performance mid-split. She was then called Miss Incontinental. Incredible.
Sapphira helped Plane conquer some of her anxiety and negative thoughts by having her write out her thoughts, read them out loud, and rip them up. It was a great reminder for all of us mentally ill folks out there, right?
On the main stage, Ru was joined by Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, and Mayan Lopez. The category on the runway was chain reaction. Everyone looked wonderful, but Morphine, Sapphira, and Nymphia were my favorites!
It was time for Bathroom Hunties, and of course, the clients were Michelle and Carson. Honestly, I really didn’t think anyone did anything horrible. Maybe I have Plane’s delusion, but I just had fun with it. Though Morphine struggled, and I do think Sapphira and Plane had the best concept.
In the end, Plane and Sapphira won the challenge, while Dawn and Morphine fell in the bottom two. If we’re going off track record, Dawn should have been good, right? Well, the song was Body by Megan Thee Stallion, which we love, but our goofy Dawn didn’t stand a chance against Morphine! She still did a great job, and Morphine was absolutely wonderful.
